Today we’d like to show off some of the exciting new mercenaries who will be arriving with the Doombringer release! For those of you who haven’t given them a try, our mercenary system is a way for you to not only add some power to your campaign runs, but also create unique play experiences that are exciting and different. It becomes a fun puzzle to choose the best mercenary for the job or create a deck which makes each mercenary’s unique characteristics shine.
Doombringer is no exception—and if we do say so ourselves, there are some incredibly sweet designs in this current batch of mercenaries. Let’s lead with the sweetest of them all:
This fat cat doesn’t mess around. Enjoy the sweet treat of having all your Rowdy cards start at one cost for maximum fun!
If you want to take a bite out of a prismatic deck, Kor is the Shark-Owl you deserve. Maximize your value with supercharged prismatic troops and cheap prismatic actions.
If chaos is more your style, Nix can lead you to the promised land of extra draws and creepy claws. It’s a careful balance to not be overrun, but if you whisper nicely, Chaostongues will bring Nix all sorts of healthy treats.
Death is not the end, and Mathilda shows this with a vengeance. Plant the seeds of victory and watch them sprout into overwhelming troop advantage through a combination of spirits and Rebirth effects.
If you’re looking for a bit more of a wild ride, Boingo’s got you covered. Soar through the air on your pointy deathstick and strike fear into the hearts of your enemies!
Finally, Corinth embodies the transition of the Luminaries into the Sisters of Suffering. Join her as she searches for answers and begins to build a whole new (if corrupted) world view.
That’s all for now! We hope you enjoyed this first look at the Mercenaries of Doombringer. Which ones are you excited to build with? Be sure to let us know in the forums below!
See you in the Battlegrounds~
