Friday Update – Ohhh Yeaah!

Jan 12, 2018

Welcome to a round up of the week. We have Siege Mode, Kismet Draft, and more:

Under Siege

First, Ryan Sutherland joins us today to discuss a break-out mode coming soon to a HEX near you. Siege combines puzzle making, high-stakes challenges, and PvE content in an exciting new way. Read all about this upcoming feature here.

Kismet Draft

Next, Kismet’s Draft is live once more! This special queue replaces the Standard Draft queue. Instead, you draft using special Kismet Draft Packs. These packs contain cards carefully hand-picked by our R&D team to create a dynamic and fresh draft experience!

Kismet Draft Pack

The rules for Kismet’s Draft are similar to our existing Draft gauntlets with the following exceptions. First, instead of normal packs, these drafts will pay out Kismet Draft Packs based on your record. Second, all Standard champions and all Standard gems are legal in this special draft format. And finally third, there is a special bonus prize for every two match wins you earn (2nd/4th/6th/8th/10th/etc… matches won). At these milestones, players will randomly receive one of six, beautifully animated cards which are unique to the Kismet Draft format:

Win and trade to collect them all!

Players can enter these Kismet Drafts using any standard combination of 0 to 3 Kismet Draft Packs and 700 to 100 Platinum. Three wins will award 6 Kismet Draft Packs, two wins will award 2 Kismet Draft packs, and one win will award 1 random Standard rare card.

As our tournament tools evolve and if the community response is there, we hope to do more things like this in the future. So, if this sounds awesome to you, head on out to the queues and hop onto the forums to show your support!

*Please be aware that the animated Wings of Wax has a small layering issue that will be patched out shortly. All copies of the card will be updated at that time.

Singles Night

We have been looking over our prize offerings for our new Singles Night tournaments, and we decided they could use a double shot of awesome. Starting next week, we are upping the pack payout for each tier of prizes. Let’s take a look:

  • 1 win = Random Standard Rare
  • 2 Wins = Random Standard Rare + AA Witch of the Wishing Well + 1x Most Recent Booster
  • 3 Wins = Random Standard Rare + AA Witch of the Wishing Well + 2x Most Recent Booster

We hope this new and improved prize structure will help more of you take advantage of this unique format. Party on!

The poll for the Dead of Winter Collector’s Tier Alternate Arts is still underway. Please visit this link and follow the instructions to register your vote. This poll is limited to players with Collector’s Tier accounts and above. It will run for one more week before closing, so don’t delay! Voice your preference today.

HEX BashHEX Clash

The HEX Bash and HEX Clash are back once more! Saturday and Sunday, starting at 8am PT (Timezone Conversion), you have another chance to prove your mettle and walk away with cash and exclusive prizes! Will you end up a proud owner of these fine cosmetics like last week’s Bash or Clash winners?

Join us this weekend and find out!

For full details on prizing, please check out our tournament pages here and here.

Tournament Support

Please note: If you happen to have technical issues with the Clash or Bash events, our support team requests that you submit an output log from that same day along with your ticket. This is essential, not only to ensure your ticket gets resolved in a timely fashion, but also to help us prevent similar problems from occurring in the future. Output, error, and crash logs can be found in the HEX: Shards of Fate program install folder on your machine.

New Bash/Clash Rotation

Starting in February, Bash and Clash events will rotate between Saturday and Sunday instead of being fixed. This means that February 3rd will be a Clash and February 4th will be a Bash instead of the fixed schedule we have had until this date. The following weekend the events will be reversed (Bash on Saturday and Clash on Sunday), and they will continue alternating in this way. We hope this new schedule will give you all greater flexibility when it comes to attending these exciting events.

See you in the Battlegrounds~
