Friday Update – Seriously Single

Dec 1, 2017

Welcome to a round up of the week. New tournaments are just around the corner, Kismet’s Whims become a little more knowable, and more:

HEX Singles Night

Our new tournament offering, Singles Night, starts next week! Singles Night is an exciting format for the enterprising deck builder where you may only use one copy of each card, thus forcing you to be creative and think outside the box to craft the consistent decks it will take to win. Here are the details:

Format: Standard Singleton Constructed
Cost: 100 Platinum
Pairings: 3 Rounds – Swiss

  • 1 Win: 1x Random Standard Rare
  • 2 Wins: 1x AA Witch of the Wishing Well; 1x Random Standard Rare
  • 3 Wins: 1x AA Witch of the Wishing Well; 1x Most Recent Set Pack; 1x Random Standard Rare
Witch of the Wishing Well AA

These tournaments will be held on Tuesdays in December (December 5th), at 11AM PT [Local Time Zone] and 6PM PT [Local Time Zone]. In subsequent months, they will follow the rotating schedule we’ve established for our weekly events, moving to Wednesdays in January, Thursdays in February, etc.

We hope you enjoy this new format! Be sure to let us know what kind of deck you plan to bring in the forums below.

Kismet Draft

We’ve had several questions about how Kismet Packs will work since our first Kismet’s Draft went back into the vault. While it is true that Kismet’s whims are mysterious, there is a pattern you can count on. You will be able to use your Kismet Packs in a Kismet’s Draft in the future. Kismet Pack contents will change with the format to match the Kismet’s Draft configuration that escapes from the vault. This means you can take your chances now and open up Kismet Packs for a shot at some sweet cards (there’s some good stuff in there!), or you can save your Kismet Packs for when Kismet’s Draft returns once more.

Cosmic Crown Showdown

We are about half way through the ladder season, and if you are aiming for the top, it is time to save the date. Our next Cosmic Crown Showdown will be on January 13th and 14th. On those days, the best players of this season will battle with $5,000 in prizes on the line. Will you have what it takes to secure top 64 and write your name in the stars? Start climbing and find out!

HEX BashHEX Clash

The HEX Bash and HEX Clash are back once more! Saturday and Sunday, starting at 8am PT (Timezone Conversion), you have another chance to prove your mettle and walk away with cash and exclusive prizes! Will you end up a proud owner of these fine cosmetics like last week’s Bash or Clash winners?

Join us this weekend and find out!

Tournament Support

Please note: if you happen to have technical issues with the Clash or Bash events, our support team requests that you submit an output log from that same day along with your ticket. This is essential, not only to ensure your ticket gets resolved in a timely fashion, but also to help us prevent similar problems from occurring in the future. Output, error, and crash logs can be found in the HEX: Shards of Fate program install folder on your machine.

Deep Dive

Finally, we have another new article series for you, Deep Dive. This series focuses on the limited HEX player. In it, community member Havoc shares his vast experience with the HEX Clash in some quick, easy steps. Geared towards anyone, newcomer and veteran alike, if you are looking to improve your limited game, you should definitely check it out.

See you in the battlegrounds~
