HEX Bash & Clash Terms and Conditions

The following conditions govern the course of the HEX Bash and HEX Clash (“competition”) as organized by Hex Entertainment, LLC. 25351 Commercentre Dr. Suite 250, Lake Forest, CA. USA (“HXE”).

  1. Subject and Period of Competition
    • The subject of the HEX Bash is an ongoing season (“season”) staring August 12, 2017 and repeating every Saturday thereafter starting at 8:00 AM PT. The subject of the HEX Clash is an ongoing season (“season”) staring April 2, 2017 and repeating every Sunday thereafter starting at 8:00 AM PT. HXE can terminate this competition’s ongoing status at any time. During the season, players may enter the HEX Bash and HEX Clash tournament in the Battlegrounds section of the game client by using any of the given payment methods.
    • The HEX Bash season and subsequent tournaments take place starting 8/12/2017 and is ongoing each Saturday (“competition period”).
    • The HEX Clash season and subsequent tournaments take place starting 4/2/2017 and is ongoing each Sunday (“competition period”).
  1. Participation Requirements
    • All players of full age with a personal and active account for (“account”) are eligible to enter (“user”). Employees of Hex Entertainment, LLC and the companies associated with them, or spouses and relatives thereof, are ineligible to participate.
    • A “participant” is every eligible user who complies with the following conditions.
    • Participation is granted when entry requirements are met upon entering the event and is not bound to subscription to a fee-based service.
  1. HEX Bash and HEX Clash Tournament and HEX Bash and HEX Clash Winners
    • The tournaments will start at 8:00 AM PT on 8/12/17 every Saturday and 4/2/2017 every Sunday respectively, at the same time thereafter. “Participants” in the preliminary rounds are those players who use the appropriate entry fees to participate in the tournament. The use of multiple accounts is not permitted. Depending on the number of participants, the tournament may be played out over the course of up to 10 rounds. The rank is determined by the final score. The eight highest placed participants following this tournament are the “winners”.
    • The finals will start at the conclusion of the preliminary rounds and consist of a single elimination draft format tournament with up to three rounds. The winners who take part in the finals are the “finalists”. The use of multiple accounts is not permitted.
    • The participants who are not finalists will receive special in-game prizes; as part of the notification, finalists will receive an invitation to take part in the “finals” in accordance with Section 4 below. A cash disbursement and/or payment of the in-game prizes in goods, or the exchange and/or transfer to third parties or other accounts is excluded in each case.
  1. HEX Bash and HEX Clash Winner
    • If winners do not participate in the finals, they forfeit any right to the payment of a cash prize as detailed in Section 5 (1), merely being rewarded with the in-game prizes as detailed in Section 3 (3). If a finalist resigns during the last game of the finals, they will be awarded second place. The “winner” is the finalist who wins the last game in the finals.
    • HXE will announce the winner and the final rankings of the finalists on by announcing their respective nicknames the week following each HEX Bash and HEX Clash tournament (“HEX Bash and HEX Clash Winner’s Announcement”).
  1. Prize Money
    • The finalists receive the following prize money as per their ranking in the HEX Bash and HEX Clash:
      • Finalists claiming fourth and third place receive prize money to the value of $125 USD;
      • The finalist who claims second place receives prize money to the value of $250 USD;
      • The winner receives prize money to the value of $500 USD.
    • HXE will transfer the prize money to the respective authorized recipients (“authorized recipients”) as determined by the preceding paragraph exclusively by bank transfer or, where available, via PayPal.
    • The payment of the prize money via bank transfer is subject to the provision of valid bank details, comprising the authorized recipient’s (i.e. account holder’s) name, the name of the bank in combination with the account number and SWIFT/BIC codes, and the IBAN number (or simply the account number, should the account belong to a bank outside of the European Union). Prize money payments made via PayPal require the provision of the respective finalist’s valid PayPal account email address.
    • Payment shall be made within 90 days of provision of the “payment details” as detailed in paragraph (5) 3. Finalists forfeit their right to a prize if these details are not provided in part or in whole to HXE via email to within 30 days of completion of their winning tournament. Details must be sent via the email address associated with the account used for participation. As far as a payment fails as a result of incorrectly provided payment details, HXE is only obliged to attempt to revoke the erroneous payment made. In as far as this is possible, the respective payment will once more be repeated within 14 days of receipt of the correct payment details, should these be communicated immediately. Otherwise the respective claim to the prize money is forfeit. If the account is being used via Steam, then an additional support ticket must be created from the respective Steam user account. The ticket must include the email address via which the payment details will be sent.
    • Recourse to the courts regarding the determination of HEX Bash and HEX Clash winners and final placement of the finalists is excluded in each case.
    • Any taxes and/or other duties due on the respective payment, as well as all resulting fees, shall be borne by the respective authorized recipient, who indemnifies HXE against all liabilities with respect to the responsible financial authorities. The disbursement and/or payment of the prize in goods, or the exchange and/or transfer of the prize to third parties is excluded.
  1. Data Privacy
    • HXE will collect, process and use participants’ personal data solely for the purposes detailed in these conditions and the Privacy Policy in accordance with data protection laws.
  1. Declaration of Consent
    • The participants agree to the HEX Bash and HEX Clash entry.
    • As part of the HEX Bash and HEX Clash entry, the finalists further agree to an interview being sent to the email address linked to the account used to participate. A reply to said interview is voluntary.
    • The respective consent may be revoked at any time with future effect by sending an email to No further costs other than the transmission costs stated in the base rates will be incurred.
  1. Disclaimer
    • HXE, its bodies, employees, and subcontractors are liable exclusively for willful intent and gross negligence, regardless of legal basis, and in cases of ordinary negligence, only for the violation of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable damages, as far as not precluded by other compulsory statutory provisions. These limitations do not apply for the loss of life, personal injury or damage to health.
  1. Other
    • The participant agrees to these Terms and Conditions by actively participating in the HEX Bash and HEX Clash. In addition to these Terms and Conditions, the Standard Terms and Conditions of Use also apply (together the “rules”). Should a participant infringe upon the rules during the competition period, their eligibility may be revoked.
    • In the event that any individual provisions of these Terms and Conditions become ineffective, the remaining provisions shall remain effective and binding. Statutory rules shall take the place of the ineffective provision.

(2)HXE reserves the right to end the competition at any time, if for technical or legal reasons its proper execution cannot be guaranteed.
