IQ Winner Profile – Cyriius

Nov 25, 2015

Cyriius has won his spot to play for the $100,000 in prizes at the HEX Invitational.

Cyriius-Headshot1) What’s your name, where are you from and how long have you been playing HEX?
My name is Cyril “Cyriius” Pitalot, from France, I’ve been playing since set 2 but competitively since the introducing of Armies of Myth

2) You just won the HEX IQ and will be going to California to play for the grand prize of $40,000. What went through your mind right after the final game?
I was so happy that I’m finally able to achieve something concrete in eSports. I often failed at the last step in other TCG or OTCG, now it’s the time! I’m actually really happy to go back to the US after a semester there can’t wait for February!

3) What are your thoughts now?
My thoughts now is more about winning the whole thing!

4) What is it that you love about HEX?
I started with other TCG and chose HEX for its reach content and possibilities and the potential in that game to go deep into eSports

5) What makes you launch the game and battle it out with your fellow HEXers?
Improving, testing, building, giving the best!

6) What does HEX mean to you?
Since it’s a game where I can see a great future eSports Scene, it means a lot to me!

7) If you were to win the HEX Invitational in February, what would you do with the grand prize?
Coming to a financial stability first ! Have an easier life as student and enjoy the rest of it.

8) Could you tell us a little about the deck that carried you to victory in the HEX IQ?
My Sealed pool had pretty good synergies for both Diamond/Blood or Diamond/Ruby I chose to go for Anana Blood/Diamond because I’m more comfortable with it and feel like it opens up more mistakes on the opposing side. In the Draft I forced Blood/Diamond because I feel it’s by far the best archetype and got rewarded pack 3 with double Angel of Judgment.

9) Where can people watch you play?
Before I was streaming on Twitch or through a eSports website but since then my computer isn’t performing well enough at the moment.

10) Do you have a message to your fellow HEX IQ winners? Why do they need to be on the lookout for you?
I wish to have fun in addition to produce entertainment and great plays during the competition. Maybe they need to be aware that I’m a really versatile player and a real hard-worker when it comes to playtesting.
