On the Losing Team

Jun 21, 2017

For every Golden State Warriors there is a Philadelphia 76rs. For every Manchester United there is a Wigan Athletic. Today we’re going to turn away from the big and bright teams that are making their way to the Frost Ring Arena to focus on the less fortunate teams. These teams had the highest of hopes, but they didn’t quite make it to the end. Below are but a few of the teams that entered the competition, but they were unlucky enough to have their defeat immortalized forever on the art on a Frostheart card.

Falling Star

A fire mage cult from an ancient monastery in the Howling Plains, they wish for the power to enslave the minds of all humans and use them as fodder in a war against Lumos. You would think mages from a monastery could handle their liquor…

They hope that by winning in the Frost Ring Arena, it will bring them honor and they will rid the world of the vennen scourge. Apparently they are still running away.

Guardians of Myth

Employed by the Guru of the Wounded Petal to guard the temple on Lake Wyalusing, this team of shin’hare ronin are a ruthless and lethal gang of hired guns. Their desire is to be so well renowned and powerful that they can claim and rule their own empire away from the Emperor, but they’ve never seen fighters like those in the Arena…

Guardians of Myth

We hope you enjoyed this peak at these Frost Ring failures. But remember, these are just a few of the brave or fool-hearty souls who answered Hogarth’s summons. Keep your eyes peeled for more colorful characters come Frostheart!
